If you’ve ever looked at yourself in the mirror and cried, and wondered if you were good enough, wondered if you were pretty enough, or smart enough, or tough enough to get through your life… I want each of you to know that the answer is yes. It is always yes. I’m Char, and I’m a healer. A lover. A friend. I will never intentionally bring someone down. Hidden in the small town of Lima Ohio, thick within the trees, lies a school a few miles from actual civilization. It’s known to most as a prestigious boarding school by the name of McKinley Academy. A school only the best of the best, the smartest of the smartest are allowed in. However, this is far from the truth. While a lot of the students attending are intelligent, it is not their main reason for being here. The main reason lying within the shadows of their hearts. The students that attend McKinley are special to say the least. They are creatures that like to feast on flesh, ones with super human abilities, or just a craving to kill. Of course, none of them ASKED to be this way. Who would ask to live a life in secret and eternal damnation, not to mention resentment from society? These kids have changed through the years of their lives, whether they asked for it or not, and now they must deal with the consequences. Luckily, not all creatures of the night are exceptionally evil, some even hoping to live normal lives among humans one day. This is where McKinley Academy comes in, the teachers hoping to help cure the students natural urges to hunt and feed and kill, and help control their abilities enough to live a normal life from graduation onward.
